These terms apply to clubs, managers and referees using EasyRef, a service run by [Company name] Ltd ([company number]), [registered address].
What EasyRef does
EasyRef helps a club create referee appointments, confirm matches at full time and record referee payments. EasyRef never holds or moves money. Clubs pay referees directly from their own bank account and record the payment in EasyRef.
What clubs agree to
- Only invite people who help run the club, and remove them when they leave.
- Enter appointment details accurately, and pay referees in line with league rules.
- Have the right to share referees' details with EasyRef for this purpose.
- Check the name shown by your bank (Confirmation of Payee) when making each payment.
What “checked by EasyRef” means
Before a new referee can be paid, EasyRef checks that the bank account name matches the referee (or their parent or guardian if they are under 18), that the phone number we contacted appears on the league appointment, and, for matches the club arranged itself, that the referee's FA registration proof looks genuine. It is a careful check, not a guarantee. It does not replace your bank's own checks or the club's judgement.
Referees
Referees don't need an account. EasyRef gives you one profile and a permanent EasyRef ID, used by every club you referee for. You add your bank details once, through a secure link sent to your own phone number, and see all your matches and payments on your personal My EasyRef page.
To change your bank details, ask from My EasyRef or through a club. EasyRef sends a fresh link to your number on record and checks the new account before it's used; until then, clubs pay your current account. A new phone number must be confirmed from that phone, and bank details can't be changed for 7 days afterwards.
Price
EasyRef is free during the pilot. We will tell clubs in writing before any charges start.
Our responsibility
We run EasyRef with reasonable care and skill. Because payments are made by the club, not by EasyRef, we are not responsible for payments a club makes or doesn't make. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will tell clubs about important changes. A club can stop using EasyRef at any time, and we will delete or return its information.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
